Lonesome of the Heart ‘Tis nothing at all akin to fairness this lonesome of the heart sharp sting, vague ache this heart it breaks still beats therein this lonesome of the heart All around you love resplendent lies still sunshine comes from hie the skies the birds they sing twittering merrily like an old song now a lost rhapsody Faint is the call of violin’s play down long hall this lonesome of the heart pensive yearning no one’s learning from this, this lonesome of the heart ‘Twill never be better as there is no other end ‘tis forlorn it is, my friend this lonesome of the heart So I will wait so you won’t know in winter’s gale we shall take a walk while we silently talk the bitter frozen air my tears shall meet and match my soul’s sigh you won’t see it ‘Tis nothing at all akin to fair this lonesome of the heart vague stinging ache breaks heart rare but still will beat therein in the lonesome of the heart 07 November 2000 |

So I will wait so you won’t know in winter’s gale we shall take a walk while we silently talk the bitter frozen air my tears shall meet and match my soul’s sigh you won’t see it ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kari~This part really aches. Well the whole piece does but this stanza grabbed me and pulled me in and really touched a place deep within me. Great write! ~Hugs, Nancy~ ~Time has cast a spell on you, |

Kari darling sister of the soul, oh my goodness how good a writer are you? This fairly throbs with sorrow and loneliness, and how thankful I am that it isn’t something I have to feel, and hopefully I won’t have to for a long time. However you’ve written it so clearly the lines are etched with the aching sorrow of it all. I know that one day I will have to walk that lonely road alone, and I just hope that when that day comes, if it comes, I will be able to do it with a bit of fortitude and courage. This truly is incredibly fabulous writing Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |

the bitter frozen air my tears shall meet and match my soul’s sigh you won’t see it Oh I liked those lines Sunshine. It's a personal matter of the heart and those tears are not something I like to show off, at the same time they are hard to hold back. Lonesome it tis~ |

Karilea - Such an emotive write. I like the stanza that Nancy pointed out, the tears combining to make a symbol of the lonesome heart. Well done. Dave |

Faint is the call of violin’s play down long hall this lonesome of the heart pensive yearning no one’s learning from this, this lonesome of the heart The strings of the Violin..they do wail..most beautifully in calling loneliness. The beauty is when someone is there to listen and learn..You wrought this home in me. Sincerely, Regina |
