A Moment In The Sand I walked through my mind and I walked through my heart As I walked through the delicate sands An image created just between him and I We're in the middle of somewhere in no man's land... For, beside us run waters filled with countless dreams And, I could feel how the sands took me back in time I was drifting along gratifying grounds like never before I was all I wanted to be and everything I never could find... That moment in the sand was natural like I'd been here all my life As I walked so carefree in the presence of him by my side It felt like I'd known him and this ground for eternity and beyond So, I walked and I talked and I talked til' I cried... I was everywhere the sands directed me to be I shared a moment with happiness and even with sorrow I took the hands of despair on this walk of mine And, I felt what it was like to yearn yet fear for tomorrow... Within that second I felt joy and I felt the pain I swam in desire and fell straight to the hands I was standing on love but also kneeling to shame For that scared soul who's finally shown who I am... I hung onto anything the sands were willing to give Even wearing a smile that no one has ever seen It never left even when the breeze took a rest Cause, this time the smile came from inside of me... I was a fighter, a sinner, I was warm and bitter cold I was a minute, a lifetime, it was like sun to the soul I drowned, I grew, I stood and I ran I became many things in a moment in the sand... Saunni, this is an extremely powerfully written poem, so well done and if I read it right, I see so much happiness and hope, from the self realization that the light comes from within. Absolutely excellent work ~* Imagination is more important than knowledge *~ |

Dear Saunni, I really loved this work, you spoke of just one moment, how full one moment can be. Your mind seems filled with questions that only a lifetime seems to answer, you share yourself to the sands of inner soul and being, you walk through thoughts that blow in the wind of moments reward, through want, through hope and the passions of ones heart. Embrass each moment Saunni, and write to us about each one. Great work. Sincerely Rick |
