Enough For One Day

When you're hurting life seems to
turn into a lousy kind of place.
This is another one of those days when it
seems like everyone wants to get in my face.
I'm not saying I don't deserve to be got.
I'm saying the taste of the medicine isn't so hot.
God knows I've had enough for one day.
What can I do at this point?
Take the pain and tuck it away.
Save some of it for another day.
Take the time for a nice warm bath.
See if I can get a good nights sleep at last.
Wake up in the morning and wallow in my pain
for awhile and after I've had enough for the
day perhaps I should find a fresh reason to smile.
