Outlasting Time By Larry Chadwick If time could be accumulated, In a jar upon the shelf. I’d collect a pantry full, And save it for myself. I’d store it with the love, I have saved up just for you. In the hopes the time we’ve lost, Could be spent as if anew. It’s a shame we cannot conquer, All the things that do distract. It squanders time I’d like to save, To keep our love intact. While time, it marches on, In a jar it will not store. Still my love is firmly kept, For the one I yet adore. February 27, 2002 |

Larry~ This is such a tender write from you. Not only the sentiment but the love you've poured into every word. Love conquers all if it is meant to be. |

This one is quite lovely. It's a pity time can't be put away for later. Later comes, and the time is gone. Sigh. Nan |

You did this one so very well, Larry...and I agree with gloom...it reminds me of Jim Croce's "Time In A Bottle" from the seventies....I had almost forgotten about that song and it used to be one of my favorites. copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |
