We could have lit up the sky,
you and I.
Star crossed, we were,
but never lovers.

We walked down the aisleway
of the supermarket,
carts and hearts never far apart,
pretending the sky held itself
up high in the brilliant blue,
just for me and you.

But it was not meant to be, you see;
for I could not quite see
beyond the end
of my short-sightedness,
into 3D serendipity.

We could have lit up the sky,
you and I.

Is this write what you meant by negative imagery?

Well Kacy I don't know much about what Bri talks about as he is over my head,

but good for you for giving it a shot. I really enjoyed this. I have to tell you though that I have a few "loose stars" floating about myself that are sure negative energy.

You can picture me doing this now as it's true!

I enjoyed this. It was full of emotion and to me although it was negative imagery there is a lot of love that shines from your poem. I very much enjoyed this.
