He said Lemonade tastes better in a coffee cup You barely looked up from your newspaper your magazine the book you're reading to impress those people in the bookstore who told you Dr. Seuss is not an acceptable favorite author for someone as old as you're pretending to be. Before you blink again we've driven away from the crime scene and bought an idea, a thought a concept of love, of life of passion and all of the promises that you knew you could never make you knew you would never keep you know that everything you say will always be a lie. |

Allysa Very sad how so many fool themselves and eachother. Well done! I hope this isn't a real life situation. |

Been there, done that and got the t-shirt to prove it. I just came through a divorce from a husband who lied about everything. I can feel your anger and resentment and I fully understand it. A very good poem - one I could have written myself and may yet. You are a very good poet. Sheri Adams Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |

I miss so much around here...... I'm a fool for a poem with insight -- I have GOT to read more of your poetry! This scintillates, and it's been sitting here for months without my having stumbled over it....that's sad. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

I am smiling so wide here... I love your take on the pseudo intellect posturing--I think we should go into business marketing false covers for those who feel embarrassed by a guilty penchant for Sydney Sheldon or Harold Robbins. But I think Dr. Seuss is now currently on the acceptable list. I heard a pretty good argument for symbolic meaning in The Cat In The Hat. You rock, lady! |
