Concerning a recent dream of an asteroid that struck in Brazil and the disbelief I harboured until I saw the first hints of blackened clouds, darkening sky upon the ominous horizon thunderous roar of a world in flux, changing in natural reformation

I've been waiting millions of years
for this very moment, I can
see you again after you
distanced me so, wanting me to go.
I can see your light reflected
out there still, round and round
that star - what is it?  Sol?
I'm coming now and I want you to know
I haven't forgotten you even though
we parted on such painful terms;
Don't think me evil because I didn't
get on so well in those times
we had those fights with each other;
it wasn't your fault -- or mine.

   warm autumn evening
   we all listen to the news
   landfall in Brazil

I'm so sorry; it's been so cold here
and I've forgotten the warmpth
we used to have together.
Don't reject me please though I may
hurt you or you may be frightened of me;
we had so many good times together too.
Remember the times we played in the
grass and explored the living land,
learning how to live as one?
One man two both on earth one

   it's coming today
   he says it's within the hour
   three two one impact

Air again

   You've got to be kidding;
   There is no asteroid!
      a slow steady roar
     go outside and see the sky
       blue clear sun empty

I'm meeting you once more and we are
one again together as it was before.

      watch our horizon
     darkness grows changes the world
       more come louder now

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2

A very suspenseful poem.  Makes me wonder if something like that did happen in Brazil and I just didn't know about it.  Anything can happen.  Just look at the wild weather we have been having the last few years.  A very good write - one that kept my interest right until the end.
