Hi there...what do I do?
I sell used cars new cars sports cars
European luxury cars I don't sell cars,
I make design collect them.
What am I doing?
Just writing something a
poem sad poem love poem
series of Haiku for
submission publication
Norton's Poetry Anthology.
Am I single?
No Yes Maybe Kinda
Yes, but it sucks it's ok
it gives me time
to collect cars
and write exquisite verse.
Care to know anything else?
Ask away!
My life is an open book full of
life adventure romance success
not much of anything...
I like to live life vicariously.
I haven't told the truth
lied about anything.
I'm not a pathological liar,
I'm a revisionist historian.

hmm, suffering from schizophrenia, aren't you, Ali?

this read hilarious and swayed me powerfully enough to want to write a poem something just anything myself

after the initial "high" died down, i thought that this poem might be interpreted as a facade for someone who isn't quite ready to face him/her self and felt a tad melancholic

good work!

Thank you for the responses.

Kaile, that could be one interpretation, most definately.

In the broader context, what drove me to write this one was the wave of revisionistic writers and historians during the late 90's, trying to put their own, or their local PAC's, view of things into history and classroom books.  I just boiled it down to the bare ingredients and applied it to myself, since at the time, I did work for a rather shifty person selling used cars.  When a prospective buyer would ask what was wrong with the car, I would tell them.  Needless to say, I was an abysmal failure at this profession.

You beat me to it. I thought that strike out thing could be a fun device to use in a poem, but these days, I'm always a day late and a few hundred short.

Love ya m'bro!

You keep me smiling.

Ah those three, so-overused letters -- LOL -- but sometimes we DO laugh out loud!
