You have been a learning curve. A long walk uphill in every way. I learnt the difference between Illusion and Reality. What's worse? My false friend, Illusion, Or my good enemy, Reality? I learnt that a smile doesn’t Necessarily come from the heart. Your eyes reflected all my dreams But I didn’t see the snakes in their depths. I learnt that words and actions don’t Necessarily mean anything. It’s all to easy to misinterpret According to desire. I learnt how to say no when Deep down I wanted to let go. Intuition saved me from making The biggest mistake of my life. I learnt that when you made me cry, It wasn’t deliberate or mean. We lack understanding, you and me, Our Rainbows are too far apart. I learnt to smell the sun in the rain, To accept my portion of tears. Kindness and sorrow are not weak I will never be ashamed of caring. It seems the road is ended now, Perhaps you’ve no more you wish to teach? Here I stand on top of your mountain, Watching you walk on, disappear round a bend. Knowing my path is no longer the one you walk. Searching for the path to lead me down again. Wondering which mountain will be next. I’ve followed you so long now, it’s hard to let go. My friend, I'm glad that you have learned from this experience. I hope that someday you find someone who is deserving of you. Don't give up on that. Oh, make me Thine forever |
