alright now..lets see.! hey every1! yea..its been a while since i really wrote anything so lemme see if my little poetic brain will think something up..i need to write! cast a single floating glance into the mirror stained with bloody memories that once made you laugh but no longer will you at this most delightful game instead you look into my eyes and try to figure out the stories untold as we take each others hand God puts words on your lips but no voice may speak them your fingers trace my soul and i can see it in the glassy reflection you want to take me away but you don't know how to scared to break the crystal tears i have cried yet loving to much to let me leave do not turn me astray against this world mirrors lies tell you other than this it leads you to not see me bleeding the sky has turned against me once more i will only take this cruelty a thousand times then your hand will and has guided me out of this and i smile up to the glazed mirror that is gently being fogged out of memory by the soggy mist of your kiss * the pouring rain kisses my lips with innocence as you look into my eyes * [This message has been edited by Riley (10-26-2003 07:34 PM).] |

Ri- Congratulations on discovering painful poetry. First of all, I think it's cute that you're considering someone else innocent. It's like a tall midget calling a shorter midget "shorty." I'm kidding, don't rip into me for that one. But really, you've got a lot of experience to go yet, your innocence still seems fresh enough that it lends to your imagination and enhances your poetry... There are some familiar images in this poem, blood and mirrors... I'd encourage you to mix it up a bit. Although, on the other hand, I like how vivid you can be in the artificial world without stepping out into nature... It's cool, and brings a lot to your style... glad to have read more by you. Keep up the poetry, darling. Much love, Brian Faith is a fine invention |

the sky has turned against me once more i will only take this cruelty a thousand times ===================== those lines drew me back to them...spoke to me with mirrors. You have a unique style of writing using vivid and abstract images and colors..like a poetic Dali or Matisse. Well done poestess Riley. You're the color of the sky reflected in each store-front window pane ... |
