Some Men Feel

They
hide well, the deepest
part

but,

some men, feel…

beyond romance, beyond
daily

they feel

it is their grumbling times
when they think we
WE
are one of the them…

and they forget…

some Men feel…

and just let go…

into walls
into arguments
sometimes, into faces…

some just

let go

others…well, they…hold it in…

they…

become

Poets.

Interesting observation, Karilea.  I think I will look at their words differently given your insights.

Yes Karilea...some men choose to write it out!
And to them, I say, Bravo!
Excellent write.

Very good and funny poem!  I definitely agree with a lot of it.

Hehe... nice, very nice. The poets let it out too, they do it in verse though, instead of throwing something. Course, I do both

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

your poem.  As I man I realize sometimes it takes courage to feel.

wonderful words, Lady. I miss this place. I wonder if the majority of poets are men or women. Just something you made me wonder. Lovely to be here.

Latearrival, you arrived at a perfect time, this time. I needed this exact poem, exactly now....but I would never have stumbled upon it.

And Sunshine, this.....simply is me. Sometimes I think no one knows. You know.

This would be a good day for me to ponder these insightful words.

I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

How very true!  I believe all men feel but most don't seem to know how to express it properly.  Actually , the old school teaching was that real men shouldn't allow their feelings to show.  Thank God, younger generations are more expressive.

Karilea, it is in the feelings that we men fear our vulnerabilities may betray us. For, when it comes to communicating with the distaff sex, we seldom are a match for anything other than the volume in which we express our indignation that we are in way over our heads.

But, you'll never get me to admit that!

Liked this, I've posting or will in the mornong) a poem in the morning that takes on the whole woman/male situation, straight and to the point.

WORD TO HUSBANDS . . .
To keep your marriage brimming
With love in the loving cup,
Whenever you're wrong, admit it;
Whenever you're right, shut up
