Twinges of golden brown in his eyes as he sauntered in and out of her life, crumpled remains from his traipsings form a person, barely. Was it only skin that she touched when she reached out for him? Or was there something more? Frost burnt and freezing, sleep drizzled its poison upon her desolate face, tainting her dreams with thoughts of another, a better. Objects of admiration slip from her grasp falling from the chain around her neck shattering like glass on the pavement when she trips. Shivers in a cold enclosed area, uncomfortable warmth disappears she reaches out to touch his face thin portion of arcadia to her. Anticipation for the next encounter iceflakes fall steadily from her eyes she looks to recall a better time and finds she cannot. Golden brown eyes no longer haunt her she looks into his icy blue mirror the future fell out of her hands long ago it rests in his now. She desires to place the shards of glass together so she can see him again comprehend him again the way she once used to. |
