Leaning too far this balcony holds me by tip toes I have long strewn heels discarded that pinched the edges another sip from bottles straw taking too long to drink me drunk below, around, there is no grace in the flailing limbs which the music surrounds and spurs on ~you never would dance~ moments like this I know why you spun me with words and not movement tamed my busy feet sat me still hushed muscles even tonight I hear whispers through deafening thud of meaningless music willing the theme to change ~bring me your guitar~ in the quiet play silent mime me the memory change this am mockery of fun melt their mass into one remember how we sat people watched their nauseous stagger amuses me still we looked like them but laughed anyway claim me occasional voices try meeting them with forced smile that begs to be left alone ~you wouldn't want to get to know me~ I need not the lips of another stranger though they tell me it helps laughing at how friends can get you so wrong their persistance in finding me someone to fill the gap of tonight knowing I'll turn my face smoking for end holding back bruises from show their laid back therapy for grief sickens stomach so I ~promise myself not to come back next week. Instant karma's gonna get you. |
