my dear friend,
please don’t lose heart
for yours is a Mother’s
and I know you grieve
for grieve a Mother must
when her son bids farewell
and goes to some lands far away
far far away

but my friend,
I know for sure that your love
for your son won’t fade away
can’t ever fade away
since fading is only
for light and shadows
and your heart shines
even when you tread in
murky shadows
for yours is a Mother’s
and I know you grieve

hope there is a way
that I could help
in relieving grief
and helping tears flow
for once as smoothly as they must
so what are then left
are forever memories

the only way I can think of is
saving a few thoughts
in certain boxes
that remain like photographs
framed in memory cells
and hope these times pass on
as quick as they could
