Catch

Soiled ball falls from hand,
strikes the earth.
Bounces three quarters back
to waiting, open hand.

Cool little poem that gets the imagination going.  This could be event could be a part of so many different things in life.

Quite simple, yes.  It's a law that applies to more than just a bouncing ball.  I like your description of the ball as "soiled."  One of those tiny details that specifies a metaphor so precisely that I might almost be able to decipher your personal meaning for the poem, if I knew you a little more than I do.
