Catch Soiled ball falls from hand, strikes the earth. Bounces three quarters back to waiting, open hand. ~~~~~~~~ [This message has been edited by Tramp Poet (03-08-2003 09:10 AM).] |

Cool little poem that gets the imagination going. This could be event could be a part of so many different things in life. 2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2 |

thanks for the reads and comments... probably the simpilist, shortes thing i've ever written (other than unfinished fragments) thanks again... "If you give a man a fire, he's warm for a night; if you set a man on fire, he's warm for the rest of his life." |

Quite simple, yes. It's a law that applies to more than just a bouncing ball. I like your description of the ball as "soiled." One of those tiny details that specifies a metaphor so precisely that I might almost be able to decipher your personal meaning for the poem, if I knew you a little more than I do. Thanks for the thoughts. Parasite "Faith" means the will to avoid knowing what is true. |
