Okay, so it's been a long time since any poetry has come to me...I'm a little rusty, but here it is. Ebony Curves With shivering fingers I trace her ebony curves. I have known her…like this So many times before My hands feel the way Fluttering here…and there… Unlocking her mysteries. She sings with my touch. A rhapsody of silken sound Weaves within my soul As we merge in melody… My voice knows the way Rising here…and there... Joining in her beauty. The notes crescendo golden And then fall away Like some honeyed reverie… But I’m reassured that soon My hands will drape soft Upon her ebony curves Once more. *Krista Knutson* |

YOU'RE BACK! YAY!! It's been a long time since I've had the joy of reading your work, and I'm glad I don't have to wait any longer. I really enjoyed this piece... I especially love the refrences to music. When we connect with people on a deep level, it is indeed a melody. Wonderful writing! Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.--Jesus Christ |

Thanks Erica, it's great to have the poetry come. Even if it is about my guitar, LOL. Some way or another, the music in me comes out. Thank you for your comment, I'm so glad to hear from you! *Krista Knutson* |

hey Alwye, I've missed reading from you. Great to see you active in Sanctuary. And yup, just as I expected, this is an excellent piece of poetry. You do it every time. I love your personification, the vagueness you used... how you shrouded it just enough to gain my intrigue, but not so much that I became lost with it. Sometimes I have the problem of over-shrouding my poetry so that I haven't left enough hints to even make my intent for the poem valid... never the case with you. A subtle, passionate and romantic poem... I haven't put something in my library in a long time. Parasite It's amazing the effect ice can have on the world. |

A beautiful description of the merging one can feel with a musical instrument. This is a very interesting poem, with a subtle hint of sexuality that further helps in emphasizing the creative activity involved in music. I have known her…like this So many times before My hands feel the way Fluttering here…and there… Unlocking her mysteries. This is an especially good example. It is almost Biblical, possibly alluding to Adam's knowing of Eve. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |

from the very beginning the words you chose seemed to have an almost musical aspect to it. and then i read further and you actually started to venture down that path. it pleased me. it was a very enjoyable read. thank you muchly. /jen/ 'i don't care if it hurts, i want to have control. i want a perfect body, i want a perfect soul.' What a passionate piece of poetry you've sculpted here. An extremely sensuous poem, which is definitely appropriate for those moments of creation. Your subtlety is beautiful, leading us along with glimpses so that we can piece together the whole, truly quite enjoyable, dear. "A hard, cold wisom is required for goodness to accomplish good. Goodness without wisdom always accomplishes evil" - Robert Heinlein |
