(~rolling eyes~ alas, no one allows direct linking... please follow the link to see the corresponding photo;
you can find it here, under 'death'
: particle tarot )

dave mckean

piercing, clear,
  subtle color to black
stroke of a dandelion wisp
chalk-sooted

  the needle’s
phallic thrust to
lazuline tangles
tap the knuckle to their silent frenzy
that stain one xanthic
  cylinder:
tube of spongy
string and grease
plaited nerve & sinew
over spindle
spike of mineral
tenderly compressed
  in the corset
husk of oil and hair

how skin puckers
  shocking
the bead of blood
the ripe pain
  underlining thought
blank mind and peel
it slices through
every metaphorical skin
the cervix soul
our arms held
in our arms
  womb in womb
panting of symbiosis
the dreamline
  the rough awakening

death’s
  breath
inseminates my mouth
   birthing dust to my tongue
like maggots
  teeth rotting
and along my skin
the fluttering
lines of moths
i am shuttering
reborn
outside to in
wings to my wrist
like angels stitched to the seamless skin
  the paper membranes torn in
terror blind

  how they circle, clinging
paraplegic thorax
  hemorrhaging & broken

  this child ungiven
the dry ribs of moral coil
  fetal curl and decay

and my life expendable
a cycle broken, choice and
rest.

to gore the soft canvas,
thread white to black
the gentle infinity: scarred

Death to Pixies! Life to "Megs" work!

Sexy and sullen at once,
a cycle
with broken spokes.

Reading the words,
thrillingly.

~smile~ thank you all.

to s'en for her constant inspiration, who has caused me to 'create' lately when i thought all wells were dry (so much more to thank you for, hon, but let's start there ~smile~)

*snort* death to pixies? whaddaya have against pixies, mikey? ...and: "Sexy and sullen at once, a cycle with broken spokes." that's almost a personals ad blurb for me rotfl... ~grin~ thanks to my biggest fan (just promise if i get caught in a blizzard with ya that you wont cut my feet off, k?)

and C? i shouldn't... but: you know the way some people always have to prove themselves to a particular parent before they're completely satisfied with a creation? ...well, the last little comment from you is what always gives me the true merit of my work. ~smile~ thanks.

Your profile says you've originated 70 posts....I'd hoped for more. I may not respond to the old ones and suddenly thunder the lists with your work, but I intend to read every single one.
