For My Valentine In faith, I love thee without eyes to see Or hands to touch the face of which I dream Or ears to hear the voice of angels glee Or lips to taste your skin of peaches/cream. Yet in a scent of fragrant flowered breeze That drifts through winter’s hint of early spring, Releases me from grip of numbing freeze, And sparks a vision what mind’s eye will bring: A love that loves me like no other can, Of which before, I’ve rarely ever seen, And makes me feel like I’m the only man On Earth, in Heaven; anywhere between. For even though we haven’t ever met, I freely give my love with no regret. ---- Gene (formerly, u_gene) |

Bravo!!!! Very well done!! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

With solemn inspiration you compose Your magic to create illusions strong A virtuoso rhyme which brings repose Your pen, it always writes the perfect song To me you are a gift from Heaven sent Your words of sweet caress poetic art They sing the purest song in firmament Alight the darkest spot within my heart The sharing of this love to me so true And lose ourselves in feelings from the heart But yet remain myself inside of you Of such a love I feel I am a part For even though we haven't ever met I freely give my love with no regret |

What a lovely pair of sonnets! I haven't said anything in here yet, but think I'll have to come back. I have the same kind of feelings about someone, even posted something on the same theme (also a sonnet) quite recently. Love it! To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |
