Summer fades into ageless hues
Of autumns comforting days
Pull the afghan closer, love
Let’s speak of old lovers’ ways

Soft hands clasped together
No pressure to perform
The world can go on around us
Waiting for us to conform

A smile of acceptance
At maturity’s imperfections
Time, our friend, passes on
In the friendship of reflections

This sounds like absolute bliss, sharing such familiar things with someone close. I loved it, Sharon.

Sharon,
Is this new?
If so, I'm glad a simple gesture
can break a block
and warm the heart.

Sharon

You made this such an intimate moment...the most wonderful kind...with just a few words you set the most tender scene.

Sharon~
I remember that comment in DP and I LOVE
what you've done with the inspiration from it.
You've painted such a soft and contented picture.
I absolutely love this.

People say that older, mature love is the best, and I absolutely agree. This has captured that confidence that comes with that love. No pressure, nobody to please, just... bliss. Wonderful work!
