three moons rose over obsidian peaks
as Mondonal rises from his throne and speaks
green light, eerily shadows his face
he turns, watching her come to him in grace

her head bowed in reverence to him
her King, her husband after this night
a small sigh escapes her lips
this marriage was not a delight

lover forgotten, her hand passed over
she would be Queen in just an hour
her husband, her King growled deeply
taking her into his power.
