Sit with me and sip your tea Warm and sweet like you seem to me, Cast a glance of eye and I will try To not to ask that terrible why. Take this red rose to your nose Smell the scent that beauty knows Let it see the sights I see Teach it from your own beauty. Let us dine beneath moonshine Your eyes alone will be my wine Take my hand as we together stand And go walk into the shadowed land. Stroll with me let's go calmly To face an uncertain reality. Gloom Somehow the tea takes the sting out the the uncertainty of a shadow I see at the end. I guess that is part of the allure of the ritual of tea...it makes a dark day seem light. |

With faith I lay my hand in yours Pulse quickens the quivering rose Sweet tea sips cannot compare To honeyed song your lips compose Drink in the gentle care you see In eyes that shine towards you Wine and moonshine dazed it seems From soft to midnight blue Read the heart that’s offered here No question need you ask of me Who cares if this reality is naught But the words of our poetry |
