A friend is
Like sunshine
Always shining
On dark and cloudy days

A friend is
Like a summer breeze
Gently blowing
Encouraging
To fly out and find yourself

A friend is
Like a teacher
Reminding you
The wisdom of life
You incline to forget

A friend is
Like a moment in time
Providing insight
Into life

A friend is
Like the silence within
Forcing you
To 'really' listen again

A friend is
In your mind
Guiding your days
With gentle words

A friend is
Part of your heart
In the little corner
Where love is kept

A friend is
Truth
Telling you
What you need to hear
Not what you want to hear

A friend is
An extension of yourself
Without whom
You seem not complete
Despite the fact
You are a "complete" person
