Like a mountain, we began
seeking our lovers crest
Yes there were valleys too
but we rose to meet each test

Without you life was a desert
my soul was dry and forlorn
I sought a mountain stream
hoping our love would be reborn

Then we found our hearts
in the forest of despair
Lovers lost in lies
we stumbled without care

The horizon now before us
yours east, mine is west
We part our landscapes here
we’ve failed the lover’s test.

Awwwwww this was real sad. I'm sorry. Very nice poem though!

Very sad poem, but maybe somebody else is waiting in the west...just over the horizon?
