The Garden of the Mind She would leave my garden My castle of illusion Roam the catacombs of time Rub noses with the mundane. Stay pasture with the flock. Bruise upon the rocks of chaos. I could not impede nor make it root. Seeds of comparison not enough To nullify her needs. Love could not build walls high enough To contain her freedom Nor could it waylay or stop time. Times ravage continues And I wished to veil the mirror Empathize her beauty Surround her with grace Cherish her with embrace. Gone like sand castles by the sea. So the butterfly cocoon With the waning of the moon |

I don't know if all will see the fragility of this piece...or perhaps it is in just my eyes that I see the sheer quality of this...either way, it's a Keeper, and a promise...all wrapped up in Sy... thank you for this Sunday morning beauty... |

So the butterfly cocoon With the waning of the moon ============================================= I've sat here for 10 minutes...pretty much stunned speechless at this ... (that doesnt happen often..Janet Marie with nothing to say) *L* But, speechless wont do this justice ... There was no way to highligh just a few lines...I could not choose...or more so.... I could not seperate them from one another.....it would be like taking the sunrise out of morning sky ... like taking the moon from the stars. Once again I ask you....do you truly know how amazing & cool your poetry is!!!!!!!! do you know how very special this one is? *smiling*...(yes he does) This is exceptional writing Sy ... What the words say...and what they dont say ... touch places deep. Who could fly from that garden of your mind and leave the kind behind??? "Not I" said the moth. *winkiewinkie* love ya Stinky me Even thru the darkest phase, be it thick or thin |

Seymour - These exquisite words warm me on this snowy Sunday and gift me with dreams of spring. Thankyou, Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

Sy-- I looked up the word exquisite in the dictionary. The meaning is as follows and doesn't quite say it as well as Janet Marie does..but nothing could. Exquisite-- "a : marked by flawless craftsmanship or by beautiful, ingenious, delicate, or elaborate execution b : marked by nice discrimination, deep sensitivity, or subtle understanding" |

Quoting Martie's quoting of the dictionary: Exquisite-- "a: marked by flawless craftsmanship or by beautiful, ingenious, delicate, or elaborate execution b: marked by nice discrimination, deep sensitivity, or subtle understanding" yes .... exactly .... "Seeds of comparison not enough To nullify her needs. Love could not build walls high enough To contain her freedom Nor could it waylay or stop time. Times ravage continues And I wished to veil the mirror Empathize her beauty Surround her with grace Cherish her with embrace. ==================================== "marked by nice discrimination, deep sensitivity, or subtle understanding" Like I said........yes ...exactly... EXQUISITE |

A poem that is stunning in its beauty, as fragile and gentle as a butterfly wing. And with the freedom of softly floating words. A poem to treasure and keep, a poem to share. Thank you for sharing. |

This is romantic love poetry at it's most elegant and it's finest! A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |
