You know that feeling to be short of time Well not for ever, while that could not be But I've to attend so many things you see So many things there's no time for rhyme I'm working full time so the nights are short That's what I think but I should know better I have to choose priorities to that matter I can handle it there's no man overboard Tonight I should have attended my sheep But my daughter came over with her friend Hours of laughter, drinking and talking we spend And now it's the hour of good nighty night sleep But still I will attending my sheep to feed For they have quite a diff'rent kind of need A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess... Sonnets are fun, challenging, can be very tricky....there is more than one way to skin a cat....and I think you have done it.. If you really want to know more about them.. will be pleased to email a few tips... |

i loved the thoughts and feeling in this piece!!!! wonderful! a sonnet.... it's almost like a puzzle coming together perfectly with rhythms, stresses and lyrical images!!! not an easy genre and I admire you for what you've done here! i saw your name in the workshop... on my agenda to write a sonnet this weekend so i'll see you over there, k? ... we'll work the puzzle together from our own sides of the screen... great work here, titia!!! Titia, I admire you for what you've done. I couldn't write a sonnet to save my life...all my stressors are in the wrong place...but I have to ask, what are you doing writing when you should be feeding your sheep...unless we are the lambs. Good works on this. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Thanks for your support on my first try for writing a sonnet. I know it's not good yet, but if one doesn't try, one doesn't get anywhere. So, back to class Titia A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess... |
