Decca’ed Out Someone asked, “Where’ve you been?” Just a wink of smile, “There and back again,” The answer must Have plied a drought For you’d have thought I’d been far out While all the time I was right here Sitting close Staying near Watched the New Year All alone Sitting quiet Here at home Thought of you Smiled awhile Though the distance Of outward miles Keeps us from Heaven’s bent Truth is, Imagery is sent As you stay forever In my heart The miles whisper “She’s not so far away” For even children Lose their way My child, I’m here When you need my say No one knows, Well, few, that is The loss of a child What it is You could come back Chances are “not so” My mind still sees Your childhood glow Some read this, Thinking, “it’s a man” But they never held A small child’s hand The didn’t see you Growing up Didn’t realize, you were My half-full cup. Very few know I can’t forget For you were my first I miss you yet Someday I do hope You’ll at last find A way to come home To peace of mind Even if you don’t Find your way to me In your “mental space” Find the capacity To know I’m here, There, in your heart, A niche I believe I’ll never depart. Love, mom |

Deca - This is a very sad poem. I hope she comes home soon and lets you hold her close and love her. Her demons drive her on, but even demons grow weary. I hope she breaks free of them and finds you. |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh my gosh, this is sooooooo heartbreaking, my words too reflect what Mike's said, and I pray with all my heart she can forgive and be embraced with the light of love and hope to draw her tears away.
