Bringer of the beloved dawn
How I love thee so
For I have known
Only darkness for so long
Now to be filled with the warmth
Of happiness and love
These beautiful gifts you give to me
Loneliness, once filling my being
You reached in, touching my heart
As gentle as an angel's wing
Plucking the pain and sorrow
From my shattered heart
Oh how I adore thee
My angel sent from heaven
To finally know happiness once again
After knowing only sorrow
And the regret of my fears
I thank you my beloved angel
For bringing the light into my life
Nightfall has dissipated
Consumed by the sun
Just as heartache and sorrow
Driven away by the beauty of her light
Her heavenly light which shines down
Upon this lowly poet
Oh my love, please let me show
How I cherish you, the heart you healed
Maybe one day soon, I can reveal
The gifts that you bestowed upon me
And that I can bring you true happiness

Fear destroys the mind, depression destroys the soul... only love and compassion may save you from death.

*sigh* there is nothing like that priceless feeling one gets when they know they are cherished by another. This poem is so beautiful and reflects how rare and preciuos you hold the love given you. Magnificent. **big hugs**
