New Beginnings
I have recently found new friends & family,
the kind that love you for what you are and
treat you kindly.

Without them I would be a mess –
with their help my life has turned around
I must confess.

I was lost, confused and rejected,
wanting to give up, throw the towel in -
thinking my life and world had ended.

But, I know that I am on the mend.
I will find love and start over again.

New Beginnings is the name of my new family.
I feel the Lord sent them to me to have faith ,
to love again and live happily.

We all have lost our partners recently,
we all are one complete unit
supporting each other whenever
we are needed unconditionally.

I have written this poem for them.
I love them all and I know
that we will stick together to the end.
