It was the dawn of youth That the muse came to me. With rainbows in raindrop puddles Made from ancient droplets That have been themselves before. Drops that illuminate the way To harbor all the illusions, By dipping in the rainbow inkwell, Then whispering on parchment The thoughts I could not tell. My secret soapbox And preservation of life, Grains of sand that vanished Into the ocean Of freeze frame memories I'd always intended to keep. And I rediscover, on tossed aside Matchbox covers and checkbook registers, On grocery receipts hidden amongst my taxes, Those long lost agonies And triumphs of moment that I can only keep If I discard them in future piles. There is no ego... Only a sillhouette of strength; A calm fracture of mind that remembers This life is only school. There are no wrong answers, Only difficult days. Bad things also have beauty. And the greatest life is a life that ends In a tragedy that gives the world pause. Just believe... |

BRAVO!!! Yes, yes, there is beauty in everything, for even in the bad things and sorrow we can learn from our own tears and find solace through understanding them and learning from our mistakes and actions. (big hugggssssss) So well said, sweet friend, this is a wonderful thought-provoking poem, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
