Powerful wake up call this is indeed would that some of you poets take heed I am not the author of much distress but worldly issues I will always address! With reference to a wake up call while much of you were having your ball I stayed at home in quiet torment another 'year' aside, as global issues ferment. I'm quite alright and need not be cajoled into spreading good tide when from the Mid East to Afghanistan fires still glowed, how much of what you do do you really enjoy when celebrated times that be has you tucked in its employ. But go on, I shall not stand in your way celebrate with dazzling lights on display; call yourself people who ring in the New Year that is only another day that millions must fear. As with any event, people tend to use the occasion for escape. If we don't leave the seriousness of life for a moment it can consume us. Typically I down play all holidays, especially New Year's. But, I enjoy watching the insanity of it all. People are fun to observe. We are all so different, and yet so alike... |

Amusemi, Of course there is a need for escape, but in moderation that's my angle..think I'll address that in a poem because of the scornful air I had here. Thanks amusemi. Lyra, I wanted to see Jupiter in the sky, it was supposed to be the closest and the skies were cloudy last night!! |
