Flu Flu had been squinting
Things were not very clear
She couldn't see the chalkboard
Unless she sat very near
"What if I need glasses?"
was Flu Flu's greatest fear

Somebunny will tease me
Four eyes is what they said
She could hear critters laughing
and her heart was filled with dread

Teacher Tess had been watching
as Flu Flu tried to see.
Somebunny needs their eyes checked
It's very clear to me.

I must tell Mrs. Hare
that Bunny has to squint.
So she wrote a note to Mama
and with Flu Flu, home it went.

Mama read the teacher's note
then she talked to Papa Hare.
Flu Flu needed an eye exam
so they took her quickly there.

Dr. Hawk showed Flu Flu a chart
to see what she could read
But she couldn't see the letters
Dr. Hawk said, "Glasses you'll need."
"Come pick out a pair, they'll really help you see."
So Bunny put them on and laughed out loud with glee.

"Oh, look what I've been missing!"
"Everything is oh so clear."
"I don't even have to squint."
"I'm so glad you brought me here."

Flu Flu rode home in wonder,
seeing things she had sometimes missed.
She couldn't wait to tell Petey possum
all about the optomistrist.

"I don't care if I get teased."
"Four eyes doesn't sound too bad."
"I like my brand new glasses;
seeing better just makes me glad!

Don't let others teasing ever bother you.
It's better to see clearly with four eyes
than poorly with only two!

Very special, Cheryl...beautifully written, with a beautiful moral.
I am so glad she can see again....
Please correct the spelling error here

Flu Flu road home in wonder,
seeing things she had sometimes missed.
She couldn't wait to tell Petey possum
all about the optomistrist.

I think you meant rode instead of road.

Really terrific Job, Cheryl!!!!!!!!
