Riding out the storm blows upon the wayward winds rolling on the waves I ride crashing in the end. Frightened by the sound of thunder pouring down in rain rocks me steady, slowly coursing through my pain. Like an undertow that threatens and tries to pull me down swimming farther to the side in the twilight turned around. Perhaps the days will run together filtering through the sunlight no longer will I notice what taunts me in the night. The tossing and the turning ideals made of dreams relinquishing all fear of drowning out at sea~ Warming to the trends scorched by the burning sun beneath a sky that has no limits where lightening strikes but once. |

Blues Serenade, In this stormy write lightening striking once is enough to illuminate your wonderful words. Fabulous. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Sweet LA, sigh don't know what the odds are, but by braving the storm, standing out in it, you can increase your chances of being struck by a 'good' lightening. *s* Perhaps the taunts are just directional winds that must blow. Sail with, not against, and the ~Sea~ shall be your friend. At least, she has always been a good friend to me. your writing as of late has been filled with a certain poetic magic. You're an awesome lady, ya know that? *smiles* tSR |

This is a beautiful, frightening poem, Blues. As a person who sails, I appreciate and respect thunderstorms at sea. Thanks for sharing it with us. copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |

Riding out the storm is sometimes easier beneath the surface where the water is calm. But as all storms do, they pass, and you never know where lightening will strike again, it is a proven fact, it can strike twice...hold on to the anchor, you will conquer that raging sea, BS. |

Madame C~ I frighten myself sometimes. It's a good thing I know when to come up for air. Thanks for reading and leaving that huffing and puffing cloud. Dulcinea~ Thank you for your encouraging words. I do appreciate them and you. Floria~ It's not always smooth sailing but it's nothing I can't handle. I learned to swim before I could walk which has worked in my favor more times than not. I'm so glad you came by to read, thanks. SEA~ You read my mind so well. If I can weather one storm I can weather them all, just have to give it the old heave ho!! Thanks SEAgal~ |

amusemi~ A torrid, rocking sensation it is!! You hit right on it! Thank you for that. Noah~ Dazzling you say? No one ever told me that before. Thank you thank you. GenXer~ Can I call you Dave? Yes, the sea is a treacherous place to be, but I'm tougher than I look. Thank you for reading and for your nice reply. Sandra~ I'm glad you picked up on the strength in there somewhere. It's the old sink or swim syndrome, in reality there is only one option. Thanks~ Larry C~ I'm not about to get wiped out in a storm. I know how to use my survival tactics, I've had lots of practice and furthermore, I'm no pushover!! Thank you! |
