 This last day of the year I had to drive to town Riding along the road I saw the sun go down I had my camera with me and pictures I did take I'll show you what I saw and it was not a fake  Shining through the wood the sun was not so bright All the trees together made it some special light This is a little bush, rare orchids grow up here The camping had to go to rescue plants so dear  Just behind the trees she made me feel so rich By shining all her orange in this waterditch I stood there for a while quiet enjoying the sun I knew the store was nearly closed so I had to run  Then I turned around and saw a different light Opposite of the sun but still a pretty sight The land is laying in rest waiting for the cold And all the trees are leaveless looking very bold  And then a little further the sun was saying goodbye To the last day of this year and I could only sigh This was the best farewell to a very hectic year It was as if she knew we'd shed so many a tear For me the New Year has begun I have a wish for thee I'll say to you my dearest friends: LET's WRITE POETRY A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess... |
