Truth. Eager, (though bound) and bold,
so bold it boils skin. This sin. I’m in. -
Don’t look.

I watch shoulders fold away
and the tilt of a head I once knew,
slip across a freeway in sevens.

‘I won’t’, I said -
against a wave, a rolling trace of promise laid.
Of herb gardens and summer in photographs
sliding, not sevens in the road again.

No, never an estimated view of me before.
I flap inside this catcher’s net
half strangled.
While part of me remains exact,
regardless of conclusions met.

I’m wet with laughter now and spinning -
and truth remains in soil, digging.
Grinding, bound and breaking
and I wait.

You always amaze me, my dear friend.  I hope that all is well with you and that you had a nice holiday.  Now as for this gem, excellent work.  You always delve into the depths of the mind many of us can only dream about experiencing much less expressing through poetry.  Awesome work, you.  Take care.  LW

Well my dear A, it's so great to read you again, it's been so long and I've missed your wonderous words, imagery and experiences. You still collapse me hon and I know you will continue too.

SpitFire--I agree with the others about the deep place inside where you experience and then pull out poetry.  Pretty amazing, you are.

Pulling yourself from the deepest corners of your mind, one-day-at-a-time, sevens over and over again. Spitfire, it's time for me to re-read what I wrote for you a while back. The feelings are the same.

sevens...I suppose the luck is on just where you place your bets! But you, my friend, are a sure bet, everytime! Always a pleasure to read you, dear friend.
