Near the mesa pottery
of the desert
dances a night-blooming cereus
essence of trumpet petals
and sculptures of red-orange fruit
unfurls to the light of the moon

Pioneer spirits
gallops a lost tomahawk trail
sweet love letters
written within lilac smoke
of pow wow skies

Thunder drums' serenade
as she gazes
into his electric dark eyes

His gentle kiss
tastes of cranberry rain
in the seclusion of the desert

He slithers upon her skin
like a Diamondback
sighing like a coyote
beneath waterfalls of moonlight

A warm whisper
of a lost dream spirit
awaken her blue orchid eyes
Was she gazing into the mirror
of a rising apache moon?
touched by a reflection of once was
gone forever like a night-blooming cereus
touched by the eyes of the sun

A Vesta Crescent mariposa
dances within an adobe breeze

"Silence is a friend who
will never betray."
— Confucius

Contrasting images confuse me here.

Victoria!  What you do to me when you speak Adobe!  *s*
This had all the earmarks of authentic Native American imagery,
yet all the loving trademarks of , well...Victoria!
it's all good...and as they say:  the West is the Best.
You just proved it!
