Tis sweet relief to finally
rind my thoughts are now aligned
with my aching heart’s desire
in this decision of mine

Sleepless musings swelled
as I tossed and turned awake
now it is just physical action
in the next step that I take

I gave up trying to figure out
what everyone wanted from me
I looked within my longing heart
and found courage to be free

A soft smile now lights my face
calmly I see my future goal
I’m moving on, leaving here
for the goodness of my soul

You are very lucky my friend to have been able to hear your soul speak and to listen.
I am so happy that you can find a smile and that you will now be able to enjoy the journey of your soul.

You are truely special, Big Hugs,

Poet deVine, sounds like you made the right decision. All I can say is:

Does it matter what another soul thinks?
When drowning, dying, in our own dark sinks
We must be free, eternally, free, free!
To love ourselves and share our ecstasy.

In any kind of bondage we are slaves
There is no right or wrong in these enclaves
For we are owned by circumstances, sin
So free yourself, release all bonds within.

Good for you!

Nice clarity in this.
Decisions don't always come easy,
but once they're made there is
a sense of calm and relief.
Makes me think I need to stay focused
on the issues at hand.

Starting tomorrow!

when that moment of truth comes when you've been struggling with a decision and at last, you finally KNOW what you need to do and make that move to do it, it is like reaching the peak of a mountain and finally seeing what's on the other side.... the feeling is powerfully dynamic and it is not only a great relief, but a new awakening...

and you said it so much better than i could...

this is a great piece, sharon!!

Sharon...me thinks that you have always been one who knows what she wants and what she has to do to get it....nice poem my friend. Sometimes the hardest decisions are the ones we already know the answer to.

Sharon - I too looked within my heart and found...

I used to be like every soul
Who thought kitty cats were cute.
But now I'm free to be just me,
And give those cats the BOOT!

heh - Actually, I like your poem a whole lot better.
