In My Bed

"How handsome you are, my lover! Oh, how charming!
And our bed is verdant." NIV Song of Solomon1:16

Woman is the womb of all Creation
As man simply fertilizes her egg
And in joyful passionate elation
All flesh is renewed in birth as we lay.

But the Spirit of God has been broken
As man chose to love himself over God
And now bitter words are often spoken
As man walks along over darkened sod.

Man calls other spirits to kill in war
Creates sorrow, pain, suffering and death
Destroys the planet earth with darkened star
And suffocates the land polluting breath.

As God looked down from heavens high above
At man He made to live in joy and peace
He sent His Son to show us how to love
We killed Him in our hate and slow release.

And now He calls all women to His Throne
With passions man will fight and die to take
Says call My Wayward Boys to be My Own
For, Woman I have made you for Love's sake.

In My Bed.

Newell, I've read a lot of your work and while I can't say I particularly agree with your interpretaton of the bible, I do know good writing when I see it.  This is good writing, sir. Much enjoyed!

Madame, I just try to find the truth. And as I searched and searched and studied scripture and prayed, challenging everything I had been taught, as it wouldn't stand reality testing, these ideas came to me over several years, piece by piece, like a jigsaw puzzle coming together. I believe that women are very special to God. They are the jewels of God's Kingdom. And I believe that through God's Spirit of Love, incarnated in Christ according to Christianity, women are our best hope to return man to God and sanity. Besides, I just love women, all of them. You girls are so very wonderful.
