The Magic of Dew

I spent the morning collecting dew
A little for me a little for you
The mist of the morning’s magic bree
Just enough for some raspberry tea

Now I will pack my Randy and fly
Across the blue of a silver sky
Into a secret greenery glen
And woo her with my magic pen.

A moth turned butterfly waits for me
And God she loves this raspberry tea.
We sweeten it with nectar of flowers
It’s just the thing for romantic hours.

We walk on the beach of timeless shore
Make inroads into the evermore
And ride the tides in shameless abide
On the wiles of our passion tide

And though she is but a phantom seem
I would have no other, wile or dream.

Upon a heart in all that's true
Here sit thee, collecting dew
a bit of fairy's dust appears
upon the wing of Moth-Queen dear

Now take a brush within your hand
and paint the scenery O so grand
'tis within the power of all you wield
and now I'll sit in gentle yield

as before my eyes you grace the sky
with winsome dancing butterflies
and in the sheen of morn's explore
take us all to Forevermore

Well I don't know what they put in that tea...
me thinks it must be pure brewed ecstasy.
All I know is it makes me free ...
free to just be the me of me.

I can sip it hot to a steaming degree
or drink it iced till near freezing infinity.
Wont you join me and see if you agree ...
I'll take you on a very merry berry spree.

So I will set the table for tea at three ...
in Eden's garden under the apple tree.
We will sip our way to forevermore's fantasy
where we will find the key to love's guarantee.

Flying fancy free in our fantasy's glee ...
out to sea across waves of raspberry Chablis.
I'll write your name across the sky's marquee
there for all to see in rhymed decree.

But there's one thing that I must say in plea ...
there is something I crave more than my tea.
'Tis the time I spend steeping the verse of thee ...
'tis the time I sip the of thy potpourri of poetry.

Yes I would trade my red rush of berry bree ...
but not my rhyme scheme dreams flying free with thee.

JM,
You are my potpourri of poetry.
And I really don't need the pageantry
But it's oh so pleasant to fly with thee.

Sighing at this one. How perfectly magical this is. I so love your rhymes, and I so love jm’s responses to them. You’ve both given me a smile many a time you know. I don’t know what’s in that raspberry tea, but methinks it agrees with you.
