For A Thousand Moments

Heavens velvet night trembles
as bright stars tarry above the veil
awaiting the sound of music to slit the sky
naked moonbeams streak the night
more than candlelight they delight
butterflies crush the trail of tears
scattering stars in magical light
for a thousand moments
I cherish this sight
and dance among the stars
to the hush of butterfly wings
and magical moonbeams
