Depressive sink hole

*Not my current situation*

A little voice
told me
step away from the sink hole
just in time
and as I walked away
I heard others fall
I couldn't help them
I was too caught up
in my own doings
so I got as far away
as I could
never looked back
and hope that
I never confronted
another sink hole
again

Walker, IF only we all could do just that.
somehow we seem to find our own sinkhole
somewhere along the way...

I like the way you used the sinkhole imagery, and walked away danger.
But when I lived in Florida, I sure loved to swim in those mysterious sinkholes outside of Tallahassee!
