Forever

Your life is a map inside of my head
each path you take, is a neuron
my impulses light your way
jumping the spaces between my actions
I feel your footsteps walking gently through the fissures
and your love caressing each of my thoughts

In the mirror, I glimpse your sweet image
looking back at me
from the vast empty circles surrounded by my green irises
you have become as much a part of me
as my own reflection
your being has filled my empty spaces
as mine has filled yours
we belong together
forever

Newell thanks for your reply and Nancy, thanks again...I was going to give him the talking brocoli, but I think the singing beet might be a better birthday cake substitute for a vegetarian.
