“THOUGHTS TO HAUNT”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Had love once, and lost,
but then found it, and won…
Does this mean I’m even,
or is it just an aberration…
Loves lost and won,
h’mmm, that’s something…
Is it saying I’m new,
or a heart, torturing…
How does it stop, or end,
with so much wanting…
Turning cold or warm,
perhaps just to stay, aching…
Just a few I guess,
of thoughts to haunt…
Touching this gentle mind,
always, to taunt…
(sigh) I think when we find love, we always ask ourselves these questions, but I know deep down as long as we accept what tomorrow brings and cherish and nurture love with a smile, we will not be haunted but enchanted with beauty! (big hugggsssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Your thoughts leave me pensive as I stare.
Enjoyed this very much BC~
Bill, very well expressed and this closing stanza sort of wraps it all up.  Good write!
*sigh* questions within the heart that only the heart can answer...sometimes we go over these kind of thoughts so much that they can haunt us...maybe the answer just lays in embracing the love we have....**big big hugs**
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
Good question Bill. I think it never ends. You know, that is one thing we never know about. Love, it comes and it goes. floria
Bill,
This is a beautiful, though a somewhat sad poem.
Had love once, and lost,
but then found it, and won…
Does this mean I’m even,
or is it just an aberration…
Gee, I've loved many times, and still do. I have never lost. Because to lose you need to feel some kind of possession, ownership, or the like. And I only share love believing that God is the owner.
My loves are always free so there is no way I can lose. But the love we share is always wonderful. It's always win, win!
