Whispers

I’ve whispered to the moon a thought
A residue of embers core
It’s something I have always sought
A coal still smoldering in store

It’s cloaked within the ashes rhyme
Beneath white beard and laurel head
Just waiting for that special time
A frog becomes a prince thought dead.

And she will seek me out to kiss
To pass lives breathe into my soul
To stir this heart to love and bliss
To flame that little bit of coal

A remnant of the apple tree
The seed of origins garden
The seed of love passed on to we
The very seed of Gods pardon

So be that Eve and kiss retrieve
It’s but a moment of naïve

Seymour
You are getting better all the time. There are so many great lines in this that I can't begin to single them out.
Excellent writing my man!
Love that ending...sums it all up so well!

This was charming in a magical sort of way.

You ask where I've been?

I've been upon a petal asleep
where the shadows are wooded deep,
where all is night and crickets sing
I've been where the whippoorwills wing

I've been adrift upon moonbeam
and danced a cloud or two in dream
where Randy goes to play hide and seek
asking me to come take a peek

and where I was, there, you were not
and I missed those words I read a lot
where rhyme sublime is caught in time
making each moment a dubious crime

but now I'm home, where I should be
reading Sy's and other's sweet poetry!
