Are you of candor or of tact
now person's abilities they have to track
Are you of strong will or a slient meek
do you allow another to speak his piece?

This poem is not dedicated to the psychology of the mind
it is inspired by a website that is supposed to match your kind
and email you jobs that you would be qualified to do
but in the meantime puts you involuntarily through their stew

I have nothing against answering questions on my personal nature
but web job hunting these days is like a never ending caper
used to be that you could expect a definite reply from a site
now welcome to these virtual interviews that have no bite.

Cynical you say, cause I have to fit the mold
do you realize that the employees will still do what their told;
but not many of them will put up with the new shenanigans of the web
and fill out constant web forms when its time to go to bed.

You see all this is a process that should be done if the employer is interested
then he can measure the person earnestness and capability
instead of expecting that you rate yourself between being a self starter or a dependant mesh
which hides the fact that people can be good liars in print
and reveal more in the flesh.

I agree, ecrivan! What a lot of these guys do is try to sell their sizzle to employers and then match it with forms. It's a con game, a stinky process for both employers and employees based on greed.

If you are good at what you do, many legit companies will take your resume directly and process it with care. A candidate is much more likely to find a good job going directly to employers, especially government, medical and large companies. Always be careful of middle men. Thanks for the warning.

Martin darling boy this is without doubt one of your utter best, the flow of this couldn’t be bettered. As I’ve mentioned before darling boy you are a poet.

What can I say except this is utterly wonderful.

that's its Silver, some middle can be galling in fact..all they have to do is show to their employers they've interviewed so many poeple and as long as they get paid so what..you have good words of advise, the larger employers who really need staff shouldn't put up with this nonsense..

Marsha,

thanks for your reply
