standing on a shadow's lace

Appointment For Disappointment

disappointment
fills the room
thickest smoke
of cheap perfume
a lingering after
deed is done
words spoken yet
said for no one
more is now broken
than just a promise
belief becomes
a doubting Thomas
a trick played where
I held the receipt
dropped my heart
again in defeat

I must say you DO-NOT-DISAPPOINT!!!! I can't begin to emphasize that enough. I am so enamored with your writing...the imagery you use is amazing...for instance...
