I see her grieving, Stormy tears misting over Her ravished countenance-- Her body is like a Lily, Browning, crumbling Beneath quivering waves Of early autumn moonlight... I see her there Under streams of willow leaves Yellowing in icy air-- Raging at the tranquillity Drifting, shivering Around the growing earth Allowed to see spring once more... I see her leaving Feet falling on snowflaked ground As she travels westward-- She becomes but a phantom, Fading, falling Past the pain of flesh And into velvet darkness. *Krista Knutson* |

You have some sad imagery in here, but it is very well written. I felt the presence of a lost soul wandering around, unable to find any peace or comfort. |

Such a sad poem, my dear. I love the images you weave here with such lines as "Under streams of willow leaves / Yellowing in icy air." This poem quickly brings to mind an elven maid, specifically, beaten by the world and fading away. The west has heavy connotations with me and I love how it was ued... I hope that's where my final destination is... Wonderful piece of writing, love ![]() "A hard, cold wisom is required for goodness to accomplish good.
