A dog and a cat (Tanka)

Ralph saw her one day
purring along as he played
her back hair stood up
as she encountered the pup
froze with her claws on his nose.

Oh excellent!  An entire scene in so few words, and it provokes great images! I like a lot!!

...and her crown was formed by the ice in her eyes

I understand, ecrivan. God gave them claws to protect themselves and be cats! Doggies just need to learn that.

Newell darling boy this is utterly utterly wonderful I could easily see the picture of the cat and the puppy. You paint word pictures delightfully and this is wonderfully painted in clear and vibrant life

You’ve always been an excellent writer, lately you’re even better. Absolutely perfect writing darling boy I love it, but I guess you know that already don’t you? Good because I do. Fabulous writing, absolutely fabulous

Love and warm stuff

Silver Streak - this is great. What dog doesn't end up with the cat at the end of his nose...
