“Under The Shadow of the Moon”
by Karen Torbiak & Bill Charles
~~~~
Hand in hand they walk the sun warmed sand
watching, as it paints the evening sky
It's blaze matches what their hearts demand
of passions flame they can't deny
Fingers entwined just walking with rays
Gazing into eyes sparkling with delight
Sun fiery, as the warmth of your touch
Horizon dimmer, into the twilight
Velvet darkness moves across the beach
veiling two lovers locked in embrace
No longer is this a time for speech
when from a burning kiss their hearts race
Shadows flow into the sandy darkness
Blending into themselves, closer they
Whispers to ears with tones to be heard
Lips meeting, emotions of a bouquet
As she cuddles in his arms she sighs
while listening to his strong heartbeat
She smiles as she see the moon rise
knowing there's all night to feel complete
Tighter she is held in enchantment
Knowing of his heart and feelings
Ecstasy of moonbeams touch her face
In the twilight she has awakenings
She stays within his arms for a night
Under the shadow of the moon
She'll leave with the coming light
Thirsty no more, love is immune
Sleep eluding, yet this morning light
Comes for lovers in their rainbow
Alone now, but for the memories
Of loving you, with all to follow…
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
