there are words i sling on my shoulder when i go on sunset jogs around a little lake at the back of my house...words and thoughts i seek to leave behind in the deepening darkness...even as i bleed in the leaving... and there are words...like yours...that i'd bring with me to the beach...and with my back against a dune and a couple of sunbeams on a golden morning...sing about until i can be one with the day...and know that i live again... |
