the angel in this picture is playing the lyre.she borrowed it from me.

How Long Is Forever?

How long is forever?
When does time end?
The road to eternity, twists...
and it bends

How long is a lifetime?
How long will it last?
Will your time tick by slowly,
or will it go fast?

The answers elude us,
until its too late
to share with the world
the role played by fate

So live each day fully
as it were your last
Grab onto today
not your future or past

Enjoy your fruits now
and don't let them rot
for today is here now
but tomorrow is not

Excellent message, flow and rhyme in this.  It's very inspirational and I love that angel graphic!

Take care,
Melissa~

Lyra, this is so true and something we should all keep in mind..

can you imagine if we would all live this way?

There would be much less hostility and anger in the world.. for who wants to spend their last day fighting or being angry?

::sigh::

a glimpse into a perfect world

Thanks Marge...I still haven't gotten that lyre back....You know how some neighbors are.  They borrow stuff and never return it.

Thanks for your reply, Craig...I agree with you about defeating time...but it does seem to go faster, as we get older...as if it were a spring which gets smaller towards the end of our lives.

Thanks Pepper...I definitely agree with you...thats how we should live.
Thanks for your reply

Juanita...thank you,and you are absolutely right about that.  No one can ever be sure that there will be a tomorrow, thats why its important to live in the moment.

Noah...thank you too! and Carpe Diem!

Sy...thanks for the reply, and I do agree...it goes much too fast.

Doreen...thank you for the reply, and no one really knows how long forever is.  Thats what the poem is about asking.
